Cornfields

It doesn’t feel like five minutes since I was looking out on a bare field, and it’s taken no time at all for the corn to begin to ripen in the field. Here, the seasons ring the changes. It’s hard to imagine that this part of the world has ever been anything other than a peaceful haven, except when a storm is raging, then the wind whips up, and whilst it’s not quite Kansas, you could imagine a small house being picked up and moved :-)
